Hugo & Victor is a Parisian pastry shop for which Camille Gabarra created the visual identity. Hugues Pouget, the chef and founder, then asked vrai studio to support the release of his book, published by Éditions de La Martinière.

The project encompasses art direction, styling and photography: several days of shooting dedicated to pastries, materials, techniques and carefully crafted setups. No artifice. Each image begins with the object itself, its texture, its precision and the light it deserves. Food photography is a discipline of interpretation: it does not merely reproduce, it offers a point of view. This project brings together two sides of the work of vrai studio: an intimate knowledge of the Hugo & Victor brand and mastery of high-level culinary photography direction.
