Signage – Spatial Design
A brand identity doesn’t exist solely on a screen or on packaging—it also extends to physical spaces, such as a store, a corporate headquarters, a private mansion, or a reception area. vrai studio the spatial dimension with the same artistic vision as the rest of the identity, so that a visitor can recognize a brand in a physical space just as clearly as on a printed medium.
Signage
Signage involves designing the visual elements that guide visitors and identify a location—such as plaques, signs, markings, and welcome features—in a way that is consistent with a brand’s visual identity. It is both a technical and an artistic endeavor: it requires adhering to constraints related to legibility, materials, and installation, while remaining faithful to a brand’s visual guidelines.
This project was carried out for LaScam, a authors’ rights organization. vrai studio , manufactured, and installed the signage for its townhouse. For Elephant Factory Classic, the firm worked on the signage for the facade and the garage. In both cases, the signage was conceived as an extension of the existing artistic direction, not as a technical package handled separately by a sign manufacturer.
Spatial design
Spatial design involves conceiving the layout of a space—whether a store, reception area, or trade show booth—as a brand asset in its own right, just like packaging or a website. This includes the choice of materials, the organization of the space, and ensuring consistency between the space and all other brand assets. This work extends to the decoration of the walls themselves—including murals, art installations, art walls, and large-format printed visual elements—to bring a brand identity to life on a grand scale within a space that customers or visitors physically experience.
This project was carried out for Filon Traiteur as part of their brand rebranding effort. The restaurant’s interior design is directly linked to the visual identity and brand narrative, ensuring that the space tells the same story as the packaging and print communications.
